About TCNJ EMS

Since its formation in 1998, TCNJ EMS (formerly TCNJ Lions’ EMS) has provided non-transport BLS care to The College of New Jersey campus. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are part of communities’ public safety sector alongside departments of law enforcement, fire and rescue services, emergency management, and others. EMS refers to the pre-hospital emergency medical care that is an essential service of the integrated system of healthcare with hospitals.

TCNJ EMS is a volunteer and student-led organization that is a New Jersey State-certified EMS agency. We continually seek to improve and expand our services through strategic planning, membership training, community events, sponsoring blood drives, and public awareness.

Year after year, all of TCNJ’s leadership of the Board of Trustees, Occupational Safety & Environmental Services, the Office of the President, Residential Education & Housing, Student Affairs, Student Health Services, and countless other departments support the life and expansion of these vital services to protect the health and safety of this academic community.
